BLS Asphalt is a fast-growing, locally owned company. We looking for a skilled and dedicated Paving Operator to join our crew for the upcoming construction season. In this role you will be responsible for operating heavy paving and surfacing equipment to lay, spread and compact materials for upcoming paving projects. Responsibilities:
- Safe operate pavers, screeds or rollers to achieve precise surface finishes.
- Conduct pre-operational checks, clean, lubricate and refill equipment to ensure peak performance.
- Monitor material flow in the hopper and maintain consistent paving speed and alignment.
- Coordinate with truck drivers, rakers and supervisors to ensure a seamless workflow on-site
- Adhere to all site safety regulations and PPE requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum ( 2 - 3 ) years of experience operating asphalt or concrete paving equipment.
- Class 5 Drivers license (Class 3A license considered an asset) (Heavy Trailer Endorsement G an asset).
- Strong understanding of paving techniques, material types and fine grading.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift up to 50lbs, work flexible hours including overtime and weekends.
- Drivers abstract.
- Criminal record check.
Wage Dependent on Experience
