BLS Asphalt is a fast-growing, locally owned company. We are seeking a Paving Crew Foreman to join our team and lead our paving crew. You are responsible for managing the crew and equipment to complete asphalt projects safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
- Crew Leadership - Directing and managing the paving crew and equipment.
- Operations - Organizing daily activities, planning work in an effective order and ensuring productivity. Communicating and working closely with Asphalt Plant and Truck Dispatch and Project Manager.
- Quality Control - Reading and interpreting project plans to ensure grading and paving meet specifications.
- Safety -Conducting daily hazard assessments and safety meetings while ensuring compliance with company policies. Ensure all PPE and traffic control measures are followed.
- Equipment Care- Monitor condition of pavers, rollers and skid steers, coordinate with shop for any necessary repairs.
- Documentation - Complete daily logs, timesheets and material tracking reports accurately.
Requirements:
- Experience 3 - 5 years in asphalt paving, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead hand role.
- Deep knowledge of paving equipment (Operation and maintenance) and asphalt mix types.
- Valid Class 5 license ( Heavy trailer endorsement G an asset ) (Class 1 or 3 an asset).
- Physicality: Ability to work long hours, weekends in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50lbs.
- Operating Heavy Construction equipment.
- Communication - Having strong communication skills. Clear, direct communication style to handle both crew dynamics and client interactions on-site.
Wage dependent on experience (Negotiable)
Company vehicle provided
